16th Annual River Canoe Trip
August 16, 2008 - August 17, 2008
The 16th annual canoe trip for artists, musicians (and others who love the river) will be
happening again this year, but moved to August 16 and 17th. As usual we will start at the
bridge in Ulster, PA, around noon on Saturday and camp at the mouth of the Towanda
Creek, then continue on to finish at the PA Access point in Terrytown on Sunday
afternoon- about 25 miles in all. Come for it all or any section. A great opportunity to
paint the river and enjoy the beauty of the Endless Mountains. Call Brian Keeler if you're

Lizza Gallery Show-Two from YAA
June 29, 2008 - September 13, 2008
Opening on Sunday, June 29 from 2 to 5 p.m.,The Lizza Gallery, at 155 Bridge Street in
Tunkhannock, PA will feature the work of two
former students, one of which became a teacher at the York Academy of Arts. The York
Academy
flourished as small art school in York, PA from circa 1946 to its
dissolution in the early 80's. Tom Wise, now of Halifax, PA, was a student there, entering
the Academy in 1964 and then was hired to be on the faculty there in 1972, where he
remained for several years as a teacher of painting, figure drawing and other subjects.
Tom completed
his training at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and University of the Arts, both in
Philadelphia. Brian Keeler,
entered the Academy in January of 1973, following his studies at Keystone College and
was a student of Tom Wise until Keeler Graduated in 1975. This show reunites the two for
the first time in a two-man show. The landscapes, still lifes and figurative works of these
two representational painters will be shown here at the Lizza Gallery. For information call

Annual Open House
October 10, 2008 - October 12, 2008
The annual open house at Brian Keeler's studio occurs this October during the Columbus
Day Weekend, From October 10 to 12. Visit Wyalusing during this year'sNorth Branch
weekend, when it is alive with music, dance art and poetry. Brian's studio will be open on
Friday from noon until 6 p.m., on Saturday the hours will be 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
(attendant in the studio, as Brian will be doing the Triathlon and helping with downtown
events) and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. To see a list of the entertainment or to find
