The Art Of Brian Keeler
Summer/Fall 2007- Pastelagram
The official journal of the Pastel Society of America (PSA). In this issue Brian
Keeler authors an article titled "A Fascination with Italy" where
he describes his inspiration and motivation for his many trips to Italy. The
article includes several reproductions of pastels and oils of landscapes and
figurative work from Umbria, Tuscany and the Aeolian Islands off of Sicily.

Everyday Life - Genre Art Northeast
This full
color catalog published
by Wyalusing's River Light Press presents a survey of contemporary
art,
which celebrates the quotidian and the fleeting, but meaningful moments
as
expressed through regional painters, photographers, sculptors and poets.
The exhibit was organized by Brian Keeler and features an introductory
essay
by him. This two part exhibit was held at the Blue Heron Gallery in
Wyalusing and at the Laura Craig Gallery in Scranton during the summer
and

The Artwork of William Keeler - Pennsylvania Regionalist
Painter
The publication of the book about the artwork of William Keeler (1923-1980)
was the first project of The River Light Press. The book is titled, “The
Artwork of William Keeler- Pennsylvania Regionalist Painter” and
was written by the artist’s son Brian Keeler. The book served
as the catalog for the retrospective of William Keeler’s paintings
held at the Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA in the spring of 2004.
The book contains dozens of full color reproductions of the elder Keeler’s
paintings and an extensive text with historical facts about the paintings
as well as historical information about this region of Pennsylvania.
The book also contains a survey of the artists that were active in
the Wyalusing area during William Keeler’s life. In addition
there is a section of watercolors painted during WW II in the south
Pacific with excerpts from the artist’ diary kept during that
time.
The book is available at the Blue Heron Gallery with a cover price

Watercourse Catalog
The second publication of River Light Press is the catalog for the
exhibit of art at the Blue Heron Gallery and the Laura Craig Gallery
in Scranton titled, "Watercourse - The Beauty of our Rivers
and Streams". The exhibit at these two galleries occurred in
the summer and fall of 2005. The catalog is edited by Brian Keeler
and presents the work of 23 artists from New York and Pennsylvania,
all whom are representing the waterways of the Susquehanna River
watershed area. This handsome booklet is sure to make a nice gift
for the art and history buff and for those interested in preserving
our environment, as this is part of the mission of the exhibit and
book. The catalog includes over 40 full color reproductions of the
work of these painters, photographers, sculptors, printmakers and
ceramic artists. In addition to the beautiful images of the streams
of this area, the book also includes the work of several regional
poets, whose work here is inspired by the rivers of this area as
well. This attractive 9" x 9" book with a glossy heavy

Everhart Catalog
This booklet published by the Everhart Museum in Scranton documents
the retrospective exhibition of the work of Brian Keeler held at
that museum in the spring of 2004. This 9”x9” catalog,
with a heavy paper cover, includes reproductions of many of the artist’s
most memorable landscape, figure and still life paintings. An introduction
essay by Laura Craig opens the book. The book is available for $10

The Fool Stories, Book One, The Adventure Begins
A children’s book illustrated by Brian Keeler and written by
Dr. Jessica Hart. This wonderful story encapsulates the fool as an
embodiment of you and me and is meant to represent the child in us
all wandering wide-eyed into mystery and the wizened elder who reviews
