Light on Lakes- New work by Brian Keeler at the West End Gallery

"Keuka Winter Twilight" Oil on linen on panel 36" x 36"
Light on Lakes will present a group of about a dozen new paintings by Brian Keeler. The show will present Keeler's portrayals of Seneca and Keuka Lakes- two of the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. Keeler works en plein air for some of these oils, while others are studio works or some paintings are a combination of the two. The opening reception is on Friday, May 10 from 5 to 7. Susquehanna Summer Solstice Fest- French Azilum, PA
June 17, 2024 - June 23, 2024
The Third Annual Susquehanna Summer Solstice Fest (SSSF) will be held this summer, from
June 17 to 23 at French Azilum Historic Site and nearby towns. The SSSf is a plein air
painting competion and exhibit with 30 artists from the east coast converging for a week of
out door painting- with about $4000 in prizes. The SSSF is also a terrific music event that
presents live blues, swing, jazz, folk, rock, Irish, alt, zydeco and other styles on the weekend.
The performances are held in a large tent at French Azilum with a wood dance floor. Great
food and beverages too. Get your tickets in advance to save. The event is presented by the
Bradford County Regional Arts Council in Towanda, PA. For info

"Celtic Callings & Atlantic Arias" a show of recent paintings by Brian Keeler of the coastlines,
towns and landscapes of New England, Ireland and Scotland. Keeler has painted a group of
plein air studies of these locations over the years as well as creating some large studio works
based on these smaller studies. The exhibit opens on First Friday (Gallery Night) March 1 in
Ithaca
from noon to 9 pm. Special music by La Dolce Vita, a gypsy swing combo that Keeler plays
guitar with will happen from 6 to 8:30. The gallery is open from Tu-Sa from noon to 5, but
appointments are appreciated. The gallery is at 116 the Commons in the heart of downtown
