Winter Solstice Soiree

Winter Solstice Soiree- December 20- North Star Art Gallery- Ithaca, NY. - Brian Keeler is currently showing his most recent paintings of Rome and other areas of Italy. The gallery is also showcasing some of his still life paintings. For this Solstice event the gallery will be open from noon to 7. The gallery is open by appointment only throughout the year.
Later in the afternoon for the Solstice Soiree, from 4 to 7, Keeler's gypsy swing combo will play in the front room of the house. So, plan to join ZIngology and friends for some great tunes and holiday cheer. For this gig, we'll feature the lovely Marci Beaton on vocals, Brian Earle on clarinet, Tyler McCalip, Dave RIchmand and Brian Keeler on guitars, Dennis James on accordion, Greg Ezra on drums and Jorge Cuevas on percussion and Ted Caldwill on bass. Open House

In Wyalusing, PA- In my home town- The historic Keeler house on Front Street is now a museum/gallery. The 1860 home built by my ancestor John Gregory Keeler in 1860 has been undergoing restoration for several years. And my studio is behind it on School Lane with a wide selection of landscapes, figurative work and other subjects. In the house we are featuring the paintings of William Keeler and myself. Open by appointment only. We will have a fall open house on November 21 and 22 (tentative dates.). Friday hours from noon to 7, Saturday noon to 5 pm. Vedute Italiani

At the North Star Art Gallery- in Ithaca, NY- We will have a show of these Roman studies along with other works of Italy- "Vedute Italiani." Views of Italy is opening on the weekend of October 11,12 and again on 18-19 as part of the first Greater Ithaca Art Trail. This from 11 to 6 for both days and both weekends. This show will include paintings from previous trips to Tuscany, the Cinque Terre, Amalfi, Lake Como, Venice, Florence and Umbria. Don't miss it! There will be a reception and workshop on the closing day of the exhibit, Thursday, Sept 25. The workshop will be from 1 to 3:30. An artist's presentation will be from 4 to 5 pm. The 4th Annual Susquehanna Summer Solstice Fest

The 4th Annual Susquehanna Summer Solstice Fest - at French Azilum Historic site occurs from June 16 to 21, 2025. 30 artists from around the country converge for a week of plein air painting culminating in an exhibit beginning on Friday, June 19 at 3 pm. The exhibit continues over the weekend with artists demonstrating on Saturday and Sunday. The artists are competing for $4000 in prizes donated by local and regional supporters. The weekend, June 19-21 includes great live music by internationally acclaimed performers and some great regional and local bands- all under a huge tent with a dance floor.
Great food, beverages and demonstrations are part of the schedule too. Several authors and historians will also give presentations on the their books or on local art and history.

Spring Exhibit - at the West End Gallery in Corning, NY
May 2, 2025 - June 5, 2025
This is one of the new paintings for the West End Show- an 18" x 48" oil on linen depicting a view over Keuka Lake north of Hammondsport, NY. This work is titled, "Light over Keuka, Winter Solstice."
This two-artist show with Treacy Zeigler will be from May 2 to June 5, 2025. The opening will be on Friday evening, May 2 from 5 to 7. The West End Gallery has been showing Keeler's work for over 30 years. In recent years the gallery has focused exclusively on Keeler's paintings of Seneca and Keuka Lakes and the surrounding landscapes.

Spring Open House

"River Artist" a 26" x 30" oil on linen. This painting, a self portrait on Question Mark Island on the Susquehanna will be one of the works shown during the Spring Open house.
Join us for this very special spring open house at both the Brian Keeler Studio- Gallery on School Lane and at the Keeler family house- just down the alley at the corner of Front Street and School Lane. The historic house was built in 1860 by Brian's Great-Great-Grandfather, John Gregory Keeler. This Italianate design was popular at that time and is part of Wyalusing's heritage. The house has been undergoing restoration during the past several years and it will now serve as a temporary gallery. For this open house several paintings of Brian's father, the late William W. Keeler, will also be on display. The book on the elder Keeler's work that served as the show catalog for the Everhart Museum exhibition in Scranton, PA of both Keelers' art in 2004 will be available as will Brian's recent books.
The hours will be Friday from noon to 7 and Saturday from noon to 5.
